HELP, PROBLEM STARTING GORE

There are 4 PCs in my house. 2 play Gore, 2 doesn't. So it's not my modem. Anyway, problem is when I start Gore it shows nothing but the desktop while I hear the startup sound. I've tried everything, new drivers, old drivers, changing the DXDIAG configuration, running on other mode or on 640x480. I've also tried things that were suggested on 4D Rulers forums for the same problem.

My 2 PCs that can't run it are

Windows 2000 Professional {Fully updated, with SP4}.
Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz
Ati X1600XT 256mb DDR2 128bit AGP
512MB RAM DDR
M/B pJv88+ Asrock

Windows XP Home Edition {Fully updated, SP3}.
Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz
Nvidia GeForce 5600FX 256MB DDR 128bit
512MB RAM DDR

It runs on my laptop though and on my other Gaiming PC. But still, the above PCs are more than enough to run Gore, especially the 1st one.
What is the problem? Any ideas?

Have you tried to reinstall gore?

Probably 101 times. I tried different installers from different sites too, and I tried to instal the patch myself instead of downloading it. Nothing worked.

Not much help from here, I personally don't know what kind of problem it is.

I'll try there, though I don't see any help there since they don't have a solution even on 4D Rulers forums.

It was avast shields that didn't allow Gore to start.
And strangely, there was no avast notice to let you know that it's blocked.
