Great News

Been trying to code a program that will stop the speed hack program being allowed to run, and considering I've never coded stuff like this before I'm having a great success.

So far I have made a program that looks for an exe, if it finds it, it tells the person to stop hacking, and if it doesn't when you click O.K. it boots the game

However, more work is needed as simply changing the name of the program or clicking on the gore exe will avoid this but it is a good start =)

Nice man, sounds good. If this will be successful you could also try a program which will search for a wallhack, as I think wallhack is in .dll files. hmm.

Tbh, I don't believe that and I don't trust someone who can't spend 10 minutes of his free time to create an anti-cheat, while he has the source code of the game for half a year....

nah let's continue here. cbf deleting all the bot spam in the 4dr forum ... joel said that he will do something against the bots .. but didn't do anything yet

We waited like half a year for that source code if not longer ... we (or let's say killer.be) was motivated to do something when we requested it. But we didn't get it in time. Meanwhile we started to work on something that actually earns money.

Killer.be is pretty busy .. he works all day and in his spare time he works on something new ... so he really has no time for something like that.
+ he can't even compile the source code yet ... because I forgot ...

I could do some minor fixes with my programming knowledge and pass the code on to killer.be who then compiles it and gives it to joel ... but I'm pretty busy with 5 website jobs myself + I work all day at a photographers and some other company

I get money for all that and have hardly any semester holidays due to that ... so I rather spend my time on something that earns me money. . and not on a game that I hardly play myself
... also the reason why flashMOB is not active atm ... maybe Mage wants to take over for some time


This concerns GR and other server owners:
How about this ... give Thomas access to the rootserver and let him programm an app that can be started simultaniously to Gore ... that checks on people using speedhax ... might be a difficult task because he somehow has to get in the server ... actually seems pretty hard without knowing how to do it ...

I don't have any problem, I trust Thomas, but I think he has some website jobs too and that's pretty much the reason I asked you make those icons. I didn't know you have so much work as well

I don't think I am the appropriate person to take over Flashmob or at least not right now. I have to watch Gore league wars, make results, update site etc + study 4-5 hours for my school per day + Saturday evening I go out with friends when they have time as well. Maybe when Gore League Season 1 is over and if there won't be another season until September, I could help, but otherwise I can't do anything until the end of May

Carter is the most appropriate person to take over or you need someone else who play every day and have enough time for the site job

I have no and I mean no programmer experience, I am merely doing some simple as3 coding for websites with some xml and php elements. Whilst teaching myself some more system based coding (vbs atm) and then trying to implement that in the way we need, this would literally take someone who already knows how to do this sort of coding 30mins tops to make
